DAY 4 IN FIRENZE!

Today’s blog post is going to be short and sweet but I’ll include a post with pictures.

Morning Activities: Breakfast like any other at the Instituto Gould: Croissant and Orange Juice! We then went to class and discussed a little bit of art history during the 15th century.

Afternoon Activities: We went to the Uffitzi Gallery. There were SOOO many paintings of the Virgin Mary and Jesus. There wer also a lot of paintings that were world renowned. I also saw an interesting painting of a dwarf hunting game as well as portraits of the Medici Family. After the Museum Kelsey and I got Gelato. I am obsessed with this Pink Grapefruit flavored Gelato. I’ve never had anything so refreshing!

Night Activities: We went to dinner at a small Trattoria that we just happened upon. I had Penne pasta in a creamy tomato sauce. As usual, it was delicious! We then walked around downtown Florence and explored. We found a couple cool places that seem to be hang out spots for Americans and Italians that we’ll probably visit later this week. We also went to the Duomo again, I’m still in awe of its size!

Now I’m back at the Instituto and going to do a little reading for class before I hit the hay! It’s been an exhausting day and tomorrow is going to be equally as long. I’m loving it here and trying to soak up everything like a sponge.
